HomeHow to make Green Beer

Last month, we featured other green drinks for St. Patty's Day, but we couldn't ignore the old favorite - green beer.

Depending on the beer you're using, you'll want to try it in advance to get the perfect green color. To start:
Rserving.com provides information for servers, sellers and bartenders, including how to make drinks like Green Beer. For more information, visit www.Rserving.com
  1. Put 2-3 drops of green food coloring in the bottom of the glass
  2. Add beer (for the best color, use a light-colored beer like Budweiser or Bud Light).
  3. The color will mix in as the beer is added. No need to stir.
  4. Serve
To prepare green beer by the pitcher, start with 10-12 drops of food coloring, and then add beer.

Want to keep experimenting?  Try adding more or less food coloring.  Blue food coloring can also give your light-colored beer a nice green color (but can give the head a blue tint).
